On 26.01.2019 it finally started, we presented our Fab Lab! The Kick Off, our official starting shot, should give everyone interested, neighbors and friends the opportunity to get to know us – the founders – as well as understand the Fab Lab concept it.
After a brief introduction round from the team, our visitors were able to explore the diverse possibilities offered by a Fab Lab at the different stations. Live 3D printing, interactive art, “E-Camera“, “Body Drawing“, etc… there was a lot to see, hear and try out.
Besides the technicat aspect, it is worth mentionning that it is also about art, impression and community! We were very pleased about the visit from two curators Jeanne Charlotte Vogt and Alexandra Waligorski, who emphasized this aspect with their artistic perspective!
The “older brother”, the well-established and successful Fab Lab Fabulous St. Pauli was there too, and could already give us some precious tips.
Some people were so impressed by the great atmosphere that they immediately joined the project enabling us to expand the team. This was just the beginning, so we are happy that so many people have signed up for the workshops and our newsletter!
